Jordan Cole Langlois, 35, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on June 30 on multiple felony drug charges after a months-long investigation into cocaine distribution near Louisiana State University, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office said.

Langlois worked as a cook at the Delta Chi Fraternity house on the LSU campus, according to the sheriff’s office and WAFB. Investigators said LSU Police Department detectives first alerted them in March 2026 that Langlois was allegedly distributing cocaine to students.

The Sheriff’s Office Special Community Anti-Crime Team conducted surveillance for months, including a controlled drug buy using a confidential informant, according to the arrest affidavit. Agents searched Langlois’ apartment on West Chimes Street on June 30 and said they recovered cocaine powder, methamphetamine, digital scales, drug paraphernalia and inositol, an additive used to increase the weight of drugs. Additional cocaine was found in his vehicle and wallet, investigators said.

Langlois told investigators he was aware of drugs found in a safe under his bed and that he is an active narcotics user, according to the sheriff’s office. He has prior arrests, including for possession with intent to distribute, felony theft and burglary, and was convicted of possession in 2014, serving probation until 2017.

A co-defendant, James Cavalier of Baton Rouge, was also charged in connection with the case. Langlois’ bond was set at $31,500. Both men are scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 22.
