Peabo Bryson, R&B singer behind ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ dies at 75

Peabo Bryson, the R&B singer known for the Disney hits “Beauty and the Beast” and “A Whole New World,” has died at 75, according to a statement from his family.

The family announced Sunday that Bryson had suffered a stroke. No cause of death was cited in the statement.
