A person was killed Monday in a shooting in Biddeford, Maine, that involved U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Maine House Speaker Ryan Fecteau said in a statement on Facebook.

“A person was killed. ICE was involved. State Police and the Department of Public Safety are now on scene to gather details and would expect the FBI to investigate as well,” Fecteau said. He said he would provide further updates as they are relayed to him.
Fecteau, a Biddeford resident, said he did not have additional details to share at this time. Authorities have not released the identity of the person killed or said whether any officers discharged their weapons, according to multiple outlets.
CNN said it has reached out to ICE and the Department of Homeland Security for comment.
This is a developing story.
