Joe Rogan rumoured to be joining CBS News’ ‘60 Minutes’

Joe Rogan is rumoured to be joining CBS News, according to Radar Online, as the network faces a ratings struggle on 60 Minutes following Anderson Cooper’s exit earlier this year.

“This isn’t stunt casting,” an unnamed television industry insider told Radar Online. “It’s strategy. Rogan opens a direct pipeline to the massive MAGA audience CBS has struggled to reach for years.” The insider added that bringing Rogan in would “immediately gain a core connection to over 50 percent of the country.”

A second source told Radar the move would be a “gamble” because Rogan is “raw, unscripted, and polarizing” and “could either electrify 60 Minutes or blow it up.”

Cooper departed 60 Minutes in 2025 after nearly two decades, citing family priorities. “I have little kids now and want to spend time with them while they are young,” Cooper said. Rogan’s Joe Rogan Experience podcast is reported to draw 11 million listeners a day.
