Bolton, President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, is expected to plead guilty to one count of illegally retaining sensitive national security documents and to pay a fine of more than $2 million. The count carries a possible sentence of up to five years in prison.

He was indicted in October on 18 counts tied to diary-like notes from his time in the first Trump White House and pleaded not guilty. The plea will not be entered until the June 26 hearing before U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang in Greenbelt, Maryland.
