Pakistan has confirmed that a final, agreed-upon text of a peace deal has been reached, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced Friday. Sharif said Pakistan is now working closely with both sides to finalize next steps.
“Peace has never been this close as it is now,” Sharif wrote, dismissing what he described as an “incessant misinformation campaign” by those seeking to “sabotage the peace deal.” His post tagged U.S. President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, envoy Steve Witkoff, and Iranian President and Foreign Minister accounts.
